Role and Focus
The Reconstruction and Peacebuilding Group represents Nawa’s field-oriented and programmatic arm. It translates analysis into action through initiatives that support post-conflict recovery, restore essential services, strengthen local governance, and reinforce social cohesion.
The group works at the community and institutional levels, addressing both immediate recovery needs and longer-term peacebuilding and early economic recovery processes. Particular attention is given to inclusive approaches involving youth, women, and local actors.
Insights
Drawing on field experience, the group contributes to:
- Applied learning products and practice-oriented briefs
- Lessons learned and implementation insights
- Contributions to policy discussions on post-conflict recovery and peacebuilding
This ensures continuous feedback between practice and analysis.
Projects
The group leads the design and implementation of field-based initiatives, including:
- Recovery and reconstruction programs
- Community-based peacebuilding and mediation
- Local governance support and service restoration
- Youth- and women-led initiatives
- Early economic recovery frameworks
Projects are designed to be context-sensitive and to link stabilization with longer-term development pathways.
