Ahmed Reda

Strategic Communications Associate

Ahmed Reda serves as a Strategic Communications Associate at NAWA, bringing over 25 years of experience in strategic communication, institutional messaging, and narrative development across media, government, and multinational corporate sectors. His expertise lies in aligning editorial precision with strategic positioning in complex political and economic environments.

He began his career as a foreign news desk editor at Al-Ahram, developing strong foundations in international affairs, verification standards, and structured editorial writing. He later led Media and International Relations at Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), where he supported national positioning within global technology markets through coordinated messaging and stakeholder engagement.

Subsequently, he served as Regional Corporate Communications Director at Visa, overseeing multi-market communication strategies and reputation management within the digital payments industry. His experience across public and private sectors has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of institutional credibility, stakeholder perception, and strategic outreach.

He holds an MA in International Relations from the University of Sussex.

At NAWA, Ahmed oversees publishing standards, editorial quality, and institutional communication strategy, ensuring clarity, coherence, and policy relevance across research outputs while strengthening trust and credibility among partners, decision-makers, and international stakeholders.

At Nawa, we see the post-conflict phase not as the end of a crisis, but as the beginning of a new developmental path.
