Dr. Mahmoud Salama serves as Public Policy Expert at NAWA, bringing more than a decade of experience in research, policy design, and advisory work within the think-tank and development ecosystem. His work focuses on translating analytical insight into practical policy frameworks tailored to fragile and transitional environments.

He holds a PhD from Ain Shams University and an MBA from ESLSCA University, combining academic rigor with strategic management expertise. This dual foundation enables him to design implementable policy interventions grounded in evidence while maintaining operational feasibility and institutional sustainability.

Throughout his career, Dr. Salama has contributed to policy papers, advisory reports, and applied research projects for national and international institutions. He has also supported the development of institutional partnerships and cross-sector collaboration mechanisms linking research, civil society, and public-sector actors.

His research portfolio spans refugee and migration dynamics, forced displacement, counter-extremism policy, capacity-building in fragile states, and education reform for vulnerable populations—particularly children affected by conflict and displacement.
