In the smoking world, Kriswill gets respect for reliability rather than flash. You don’t see big grain competitions around them, but you do see owners keep them in rotation because they smoke cool and smooth.
MADE IN DENMARK. LENGTH: 5.92 in. CHAMBER DEPTH: 1.71 in. BOWL HEIGHT: 1.93 in.
To understand this, a little context is required. For a few years during the Second World War, Kyringe made pipes in a very traditional, Anglo-French style, though these pipes were initially made from beech wood, as the war had significantly disrupted the briar trade.
The bent Vulcanite oval saddle fantail stem bears the gold Stanwell logo. Pipe has been well cared for over the years. SO HERE’S THE DEAL PIPE COLLECTORS. YOU CAN’T SMOKE IN YOUR APT. BEEN SMOKING A PIPE SINCE 1968.
The pipe features exceptional straight grain across the bowl and shank, a natural plateau rim, and an attractive sculpted acrylic stem. The organic freehand shaping highlights the natural characteristics of the briar while maintaining excellent balance and visual appeal.
Briar pipes have the char removed from the rim (as possible), and the outside of the pipe has been cleaned, treated with a restoration balm, and buffed with carnauba wax. When you buy a pipe from us, you can expect a “refreshed” pipe.
The stem is original and in lightly used condition.
New old stock, unsmoked. Shows signs of handling, small scratches, but nothing significant or that affect the function or form of the pipe. Smooth finish with brilliant color hue, grain, and a carved spiral shank. Acrylic saddle stem. Hand made in Denmark by Poul Winsløw.
