Hiawatha

This is an early production, probably dating to the 1920’s-30’s hand painted chalkware bust depicting the warrior Hiawatha. From folk lore, Hiawatha was an Iroquois Indian adopted by the Mohawk tribe and was known as the great peacemaker.
