New & Unsmoked Ser Jacopo Domina 2015 L2 Bent Author Double Silver Bands #60/333 This pipe is new & unsmoked The Domina (Pipe of the Year) series was started by Giancarlo Guidi in 1996. Since 1998 there have been 333 Domina pipes made each year and each year has a unique shape. This piece is number 60 of the 333 made in 2015. It's in the L2 smooth natural finish which shows off its superior grain, This is a long quarter bent Author with an ovak shank. The pipe has a wedding style silver band on the shank and the outer rim of the bowl has a band of its own. The nomenclature is found on the underside of the shank. It's fitted with an appropriate oval hand made tapered stem. This piece has excellent grain throughout and is a showpiece. The L2 grade is rarely seen in the Domina series of pipes. The tobacco chamber has been left natural so you can get a good look at its straight grain before lighting up! A trule beautiful which will come in a special presentation case which is why the shipping is a tad higher than normal. In Ser Jacopo grading of smooth pipes, there's Rosso Inglese, L1, L2 and then into the Gem Series. All pipes are shipped insured. I was the importer and distributor of Ser Jacopo Pipes in the USA from their founding in 1982 and for the succeeding 35+ years.
